100th Post - Exclusive Wallpaper

Saturday, March 21, 2009

I am delighted to announce that Ultimate Doctor Who has reached 100 posts, since opening back In January.

UDW opened on December 30th 2008, as I felt a fresh start would be good for the New Year.

I had previously owned a different blog called Tardis Updated, which also managed to reach 100 posts but it closed down as the site wasn't doing very well.

Since the opening, this site has had Three Separate layouts. The First one was popular to viewers but I thought it was too dark so I made a new one which had a much brighter layout and I introduced a new font to the site, Assiduous. I wanted a more professional look, so I switched to the current template, which I am very happy with. The site has closed down temporarily twice in the past, but as of today is still running!

I have created a wallpaper exclusive to UDW that anyone can use to put on their Desktop. To view it click here.

Filming Begins for Third Special

Filming for the Third out the planned four specials has begun. With some very exciting Pictures...

It begins In a present Day bookstore. Where there is a signing for a Book called The Journal of Impossible Things. It is written by an author called Verity Newman who is portrayed by Jessica Hynes who played Joan Redfern in Human Nature/The Family of Blood, The Journal of Impossible Things also features in that story.

My guess is that The Journal is passed on through Joan's family until her Great Granddaughter, Verity Newman publishes it as a book. But please do not take that into account, as it is just an opinion.

You Can view the pictures here at Planet Gallifrey, which I should really give credit to for this post.

Ultimate Doctor Who - Site News

Viewers of this site have probably noticed recently, the notice I put on the Homepage a few days ago, and have been wondering about what is going on with Ultimate Doctor Who.

I put up a message, recently about leaving Blogger.

I apologize for the unnecessary comments I made towards other Blogger users, but I still do not change my mind about what I said.

Anyway, This is, funnily enough, the second time UDW has closed down, and both last time, and this time, I have been having second thoughts about my decision.

The site will stay open until further notice, but I have made a request on the newly designed Cbox about what should I do. I would appreciate if you were to comment there, and help me out here.

Sorry For Any Inconvenience

Sylvester McCoy Interview

Tuesday, March 17, 2009

The Sunday Times recently interviewed Sylvester McCoy who played the Seventh Doctor in Doctor Who.

In the interview, he talks about what it was like playing the Doctor, and his time there. He also mentions what he thinks of the new series.

“I loved Christopher Eccleston and was sad when he left, then David took over and did a wonderful job,” he says. “The new chap [Matt Smith] has a hard act to follow. I don’t know much about him but he looks interesting, he’s got a great face, kind of unusual — I think that’s important for the Doctor.”
