Planet of The Dead - DVD Release

Today, June 29th, sees the release of the recent Easter Special, Planet of The Dead on DVD. The episode stars David Tennant and Michelle Ryan.

It aired on April 11th of this year on BBC One and BBC HD, as it is the first Doctor Who episode filmed in HD and also has a blu-ray release today. You can view the cover and synopsis below.

When a London bus takes a detour to an alien world, the Doctor must join forces with the extraordinary Lady Christina, in this one-off seasonal special. But the mysterious planet holds terrifying secrets, hidden in the sand. And time is running out, as the deadly Swarm gets closer.

Planet of The Dead is now available to buy in the UK and Ireland with an RRP of £12.99 on DVD and £15.99 on Blu-ray.

The War Games on DVD

The cover and synopsis for an upcoming Doctor Who DVD, The War Games, has been released by 2entertain.

The War Games was first broadcast in Spring 1969 and starred Patrick Throughton as the Second Doctor, Frazer Hines as Jamie McCrimmon and Wendy Padbury as Zoe Heriot. You can view the cover and details below.

When the Doctor, Jamie and Zoe arrive on Earth they find themselves in the midst of a terrifying battle. At the centre of the mystery stand aliens who have kidnapped soldiers from different periods of Earth's history and brainwashed them in to fighting each other. Their aim is to form an invincible army from the survivors and use this to take over the galaxy.

When the Doctor learns the terrible purpose of the War Games he has one chance to defeat the aliens and end the Games... but to take it means risking recapture by his own people, the all-powerful Time Lords who are waiting to bring him to trial and who are capable of ending his very existence.
The War Games will be released on July 6th 2009 in the UK and Ireland at the RRP of £24.99.

The Twin Dilemma to be released on DVD

Classic Doctor Who story, The Twin Dilemma, has been listed for sale by some online retailers.

The Twin Dilemma was first broadcast in 1984 and consists of four episodes. It features the Sixth Doctor played by Colin Baker and Nicola Bryant as Peri Brown.

It is set to be released on September 7th 2009 at the retail price of £19.99.

Planet of The Dead DVD Release

It's been revealed that the DVD release for Planet of The Dead will be on May 11th 2009.

The episode is though, yet to be aired, with around a month away to go to Easter, when it will be transmitted.

Planet of The Dead stars David Tennant and Michelle Ryan where they take a 'detour into danger' in a Double Decker Bus.

The next episode after Planet of The Dead is expected to air at around Christmas time this year.

Man of Gallifrey - Titles Announced

I've released the Titles for some of the episodes for the upcoming UDW series Man of Gallifrey. I'm also planning on changing the schedule to weekly rather than fortnightly. You can see the titles around the middle of the sidebar.

In other news The Next Doctor was released today all around the UK with the RRP price £15.99 it was also released on Friday 16th January in the Republic of Ireland for €19.99 in most shops.

The Next Doctor DVD Release on Monday

Just a reminder that the 2008 Christmas Special, The Next Doctor, will be released on the coming Monday. It has an RRP Price of £15.99. Although the British release date is on Monday, it came out yesterday in the Republic or Ireland for €20.00 . Which Means I Have It :P . It also features the Doctor Who at The Proms mini-episode, Music of The Spheres.
