Right, Where do I start...?

Tuesday, April 28, 2009

Yet another hell of a week for UDW! If you have been visiting Ultimate Doctor Who over the past few days, you have obviously been viewing the site on a web host called Wix.

Wix is a relatively easy to use Free web host system, that is good for Flash related stuff and things like that. I tried it out, and for many reasons, stopped liking it.
One reason, was the pages! Adding pages was just a pain in the backside! Another reason was who I was working with, but let's not get onto that subject...

Anyway, UDW will be back and up and running on Blogger, very soon! So keep checking back in future!

David Tennant and Russell T. Davies Interviewed

David Tennant, who plays the Tenth Doctor, and Russel T. Davies, who is the head writer, were interviewed by The Times newspaper yesterday.

In the interview they talked about the upcoming special, Planet of The Dead. Below you can view an extract.

Your run on Doctor Who saw you bring back plenty of old favourites: K-9, the Master, Davros. Anything you didn’t get round to?

RTD: I would have loved to have done a Star Trek crossover. The very first year, we talked about it. Then Star Trek finally went off air. Landing the Tardis on board the Enterprise would have been magnificent. Can you imagine what their script department would have wanted, and what I would have wanted? It would have been the biggest battle.

You can read the full interview here.

Planet if The Dead is due to air this Saturday on BBC One at 6:45pm.

Freema Agyeman's opinion on Matt Smith

Freema Agyeman, who played former companion, Martha Jones has revealed to DigitalSpy her thoughts on Matt Smith as the Eleventh Doctor.

She has claimed that she thinks Smith will be 'Outstanding'.

“He’s great. I can imagine there must have been a fair few people up for that role. For the producers to have such confidence in him, he must clearly have blown them away.”

“He’s a really good actor in all the other things he’s done. I think he’s going to be outstanding.”

Matt Smith will take up the role of the Eleventh Doctor in Series 5 which is due to air Spring, next year.

Do you agree with Freema?

John Simm to Return?

A recent filming picture for Tennant's finale shows a man that looks like, and could be, John Simm walking by Bernard Cribbins.

If this was to be John Simm, he does look a bit different since he last appeared in the Series 3 finale.

Simm played the Master in the Utopia/The Sound of Drums/Last of The Timelords three-parter

You can view the picture here.

Please remember that this could not be John Simm, and he might not reprise his role for the Master.
