According to The Sun, (which by the way usually get these things wrong) 
Matt Smith will apparently play The Eleventh Doctor for at least three years and even, maybe, up to Five Years. [Smith] has signed a £200,000-a-year deal with the BBC1 sci-fi hit, The Sun reports.
