Lizo Mzimba has reported on his Twitter page that a trailer for Planet of The Dead will be shown this Wednesday.

He has claimed that it is due to broadcast before 9:00pm when the second episode for The Apprentice will air.

Planet of The Dead is the upcoming Easter Special which is due to be shown on April 11th.

John Barrowman - Second Autobiography

John Barrowman, who plays Captain Jack in Torchwood and Doctor Who revealed that he will be releasing a second autobiography titled, I Am What I Am.

The Book will be co-written by his sister, Carol E. Barrowman. It will take a look at his thoughts and opinions from over the past two years.

Barrowman previously wrote an autobiography titled Anything Goes, which was published in the beginning of 2008.

The autobiography will be released by Michael O'Mara Books on September 1st 2009.

David Harewood to Appear in Doctor Who

In an exclusive interview with comedian, Jonathan Ross, David Harewood who has a role in BBC's Robin Hood, stated that his next acting project would be Doctor Who.

Harewood appeared in the first episode of Robin Hood which aired last night on BBC One.

He has made appearances in Blood Diamond and The Merchant of Venice.

This has not yet been confirmed by the BBC so may not be true.

Stephen Hopkins to Direct for Series Five?

It's been reported that a director, Stephen Hopkins, will be filming the first episode of Series Five, due to be broadcast next year.

Hopkins has directed various other shows before, including the popular American programme, 24.

Series Five will star Matt Smith as the Eleventh Doctor, and is due to begin at around Spring next year. David Tennant will continue to play the Tenth Doctor in four specials expected to air this year and next year.

Planet of The Dead - Official Air Date and Plot

The BBC have confirmed that Planet of The Dead, the Easter Special, will in fact air on Saturday April 11th.

This was revealed by the BBC Press Office today. Planet of The Dead is the first out of a planned four specials due to air this year and next year, you can read the plot details, which the BBC have also released below.

When a London bus takes a detour to an alien world, the Doctor must join forces with the extraordinary Lady Christina, in this one-off seasonal special. But the mysterious planet holds terrifying secrets, hidden in the sand. And time is running out, as the deadly Swarm gets closer.

Planet Of The Dead features David Tennant as the Doctor, Michelle Ryan as Lady Christina and Lee Evans as Malcolm. It is written by Russell T Davies and Gareth Roberts.

Planet of The Dead - Rumoured Transmission Date

It has been stated by SkyMag that Planet of The Dead will air on Easter Sunday which is April 12th 2009.

It has not yet been revealed what time it will air at, but it is likey to be around 7pm on BBC One.

A Trailer for Planet of The Dead was shown during a Rugby Match recently and will probably be shown on TV soon.

This transmission date has not yet been confirmed by the BBC so may not be true.

Doctor Who Award Nominations

Doctor Who has been nominated for two different awards at the BAFTA's and the Hugo Award Ceremonies.

It has been nominated for Best Drama Series at the BAFTA's and is up against shows such as Spooks, Wallander and Shameless.

Russell T. Davies has been nominated for a Hugo Award for writing the Series Four episode, Turn Left. And Steven Moffat has been nominated for writing the Silence in The Library/Forest of The Dead two-parter.

The BAFTA and Hugo results will be up on the site as soon as they are released.
