David Tennant and Russell T. Davies Interviewed

David Tennant, who plays the Tenth Doctor, and Russel T. Davies, who is the head writer, were interviewed by The Times newspaper yesterday.

In the interview they talked about the upcoming special, Planet of The Dead. Below you can view an extract.

Your run on Doctor Who saw you bring back plenty of old favourites: K-9, the Master, Davros. Anything you didn’t get round to?

RTD: I would have loved to have done a Star Trek crossover. The very first year, we talked about it. Then Star Trek finally went off air. Landing the Tardis on board the Enterprise would have been magnificent. Can you imagine what their script department would have wanted, and what I would have wanted? It would have been the biggest battle.

Doctor Who - Possible Movie

In a Recent Interview with the The South Wales Post, Russell T. Davies stated that he is confident that a Doctor Who Movie will be released.

"There must be ways and means of doing it. I suspect one day it will happen. I think once something is talked about often enough then it starts to happen. Being talked about in the papers could almost bring it into existence. It gives us an idea of whether or not anyone would want to go and see it at the cinema."

Planet of The Dead Monster Revealed

At Last!

The monster for the upcoming special, Planet of The Dead has been revealed. The monster is called 'The Tritovore' which is apparently supposed to be really really scary! Here is an extract from the article at the Mirror Website:

"Everyone remembers the Daleks and the Cyberman, but not a lot else if they're honest.
"The Tritovore will change that. They are disgusting and will last long in the memory."

What really gets me though is the fact that Russell T. Davies, the show's head writer said that he is going to use the creatures in three other special shows.
